Old Saybrook and Fenwick Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan Update Public Meeting:

The Town of Old Saybrook and Borough of Fenwick will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 6:30pm at the Old Saybrook Town Hall at 302 Main Street.  The purpose of this second meeting will be to present the Draft Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (Draft HMP Update). The focus of the meeting will include a review of the proposed natural hazard mitigation strategy and actions for Old Saybrook and Fenwick.  Both the Town and Borough designed the strategy and actions to reduce the loss of life and property from natural hazards including but not limited to coastal flooding, sea-level-rise, severe wind resulting from hurricanes, and other natural and climate-related hazards.

A critical component of the planning process is open public involvement where the Town and Borough will provide the public with the opportunity to provide input and comments on the Draft HMP Update. All members of the community are encouraged to attend.  During the meeting, we invite the public to make comments or suggestions on the Draft HMP Update.  We will document and consider all comments received from the public for inclusion in the Plan.
