Excellence in Business Award

The Excellence in Business Award was created by the OS Economic Development Commission to recognize the value of businesses for their longevity in our community and all the “trickle down” affects they provide. These businesses have generated significant customer activity which benefits the whole town, provided continuity through difficult economic periods, and given back to the community in many ways.

Businesses receiving the award exemplify what the Commission considers to be a model for the Excellence in Business Award by:

• Practicing professional business conduct contributing to a sense of fellowship among local businesses that helps promote Old Saybrook as a good place to do business;
• Providing innovative products and valuable services that have kept pace with the times and needs of the community; and
• Participating in civic and community service at a level that exceeds typical contributions creating a lasting and beneficial impact for the community.
