CT SBDC logoThe CT Small Business Development Center offers services to small businesses as an accredited member of the US Small Business Administration (SBA). Registration is required to receive assistance. All registration information is kept confidential. Registration and services are free and provide access to: Expert, completely confidential business consulting; SBA, traditional and non-traditional funding; Business planning assistance; Comprehensive market research reports from IBIS World and ESRI; Online business training; and more. Many Old Saybrook businesses have benefitted from the expert advice provided through CT SBDC. 
Business.ct.gov logoBusiness.ct.gov provides links to information for all your business needs whether you are starting up, seeking support to grow, fulfilling license and permit requirements, registering new employees or paying your taxes.  The state also has a webpage dedicated to Business Assistance and Relief with an overview of assistance programs and links to program websites.
SBA logoPPP Direct Forgiveness Portal - The SBA created a portal to streamline forgiveness processing for small PPP Borrowers with PPP loans of $150,000 or less. Businesses may use the Direct Forgiveness Portal to automatically submit PPP forgiveness requests to their lenders once they are registered to use the portal.

Workforce Alliance develops and oversees comprehensive community-wide responses to the challenges of building a highly skilled workforce in South Central Connecticut. Workforce Alliance is a Local Workforce Investment Board (LWIB) overseen by the CT Department of Labor to implement the programs of the Connecticut Workforce Investment Act.  Through the coordination and administration of a variety of employment and training initiatives, Workforce Alliance prepares individuals for jobs and assists employers with finding and training employees. Programs for employers include: On-the-Job-Training; Paid Work Experience; Virtual Recruitment Events, Job Postings & Job Clubs; and Customized and Incumbent Worker Training.
