Press Release - Public Forum - Route 1 East/Mariner's Way Study

Immediately following the Annual Town Meeting at 6:30 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023 at the Old Saybrook Middle School, Old Saybrook residents are invited to attend a public forum to hear an update on the economic development study findings to date for the Route 1 East/Mariner’s Way corridor. There will be opportunity for comments, questions and interactive feedback.

Camoin Associates, the consultant charged with the study, will outline the project and its purpose, talk about the market analysis and economic opportunity studies it has been conducting and engage with the community to answer questions and receive feedback. This study builds on previous work conducted in the area as the town continues its efforts to implement redevelopment in this underutilized gateway into the Old Saybrook community.

Join us as we unveil the 2023 Annual Town Report, conduct a brief annual business meeting and hear more about revitalization efforts on Route 1 East.
