Press Release - Availability of COVID-19 Test Kits

Press Release from the Office of the First Selectman

Many of our citizens have been calling my office asking about the arrival of COVID-19 test kits in our town.

Those kits, as of 4:00 p.m. today, are not physically in the State of Connecticut. They were expected to arrive in the State at noon today. Therefore, we have little information as to when these kits may be in town and able to be distributed.

We do expect the test kits to be delivered into the State overnight tonight. When the kits are here in town and ready to be distributed, we will blast that information on our website.

Be aware that limited test kits are being delivered to our town. Not everyone will be able to get a kit. However, we are hopeful that there will be a regional testing option available soon. Please be patient and stay tuned. We will keep you apprised.
