Notice is hereby given that a Special Town Meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in Town Meetings of the Town of Old Saybrook will be held at the Old Saybrook Town Hall, 302 Main Street, Old Saybrook, Connecticut, on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. for the following purposes:
- Based on the recommendation of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $100,365 from the capital non-recurring fund to add to a $500,000 Urban Action Grant to be used to complete Phase II of the Main Street Connection Park.
- Based on the recommendation of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to approve an appropriation from the American Rescue Plan Funding (ARPA) in the amount of $17,294 to the Old Saybrook Ambulance Association as recommended by the ad hoc ARPA committee created by the Board of Selectman.
- Based on the recommendation of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to approve an appropriation from the American Rescue Plan Funding (ARPA) in the amount of $15,000 to the Old Saybrook Little League as recommended by the ad hoc ARPA committee created by the Board of Selectman.
- Based on the recommendation of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen, to approve an appropriation from the American Rescue Plan Funding (ARPA) in the amount of $25,000 to the Back River Living Shoreline project as recommended by the ad hoc ARPA committee created by the Board of Selectman.
