The Town of Old Saybrook provides it's video archive via a YouTube channel for the following purposes:

1) As an archive to meet the regulatory requirements of CT Senate Bill 1202 and to follow the retention guidelines of the CT Office of Public Records Administration

2) As a repository for general Town generated or related video recordings.

Requirements from CT SB 1202:
1) Recordings of public hybrid meetings shall be posted to the web repository within 7 days of the meeting
2) Once posted, a recording must remain on the web site for at least 45 days
3) Recordings of meetings shall be maintained within the Town’s local electronic data archive (not the web site) as mandated by the Office of the Public Records Administrator.

Item M1-255: Zoning Recordings - delete 1 year after minutes are approved
Item M1-260: Other Recordings - delete 6 months after minutes are approved.

To simplify retention processing, all video retention schedules are being managed to "Zoning Recordings" guidelines of "delete 1 year after minutes are approved".

All recordings are in the public domain and not copyrighted. Downloading of videos for personal/local use is NOT prohibited.
