Old Saybrook's Social Services is committed to helping residents in need throughout the year with accessing federal, state and local resources and programs to provide help and assistance. Some helpful links to federal and state programs can be found on the left and include help for Families, Children, Seniors, the Disabled and Veterans. Help with HUSKY insurance, SNAP Food Stamps and Energy Assistance as well as other resources and information can be located on these links as well.

Working with local organizations and churches, and the generous support of others in the community, local programs and initiatives are also available through Old Saybrook Social Services. Programs include help with eye glasses, dental needs, HEAT, back to school help, Holiday Giving, Employment Workshops and help with clothing, food and shelter.
