TOWN OF OLD SAYBROOK

The Old Saybrook Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing on re-naming six streets in town. Sea Lane, Sound View Avenue and South Cove Road all have two locations in town. In the interest of clarity, convenience and public safety, the Board will hear comments from the public on putting an “East” or “West” after these street names. For instance, Sea Lane in Cornfield Point would become Sea Lane East and Sea Lane in Saybrook Manor would become Sea Lane West; Sound View Avenue in Chalker Beach would be Sound View Avenue West and Sound View Avenue off of Maple Avenue would be Sound View Avenue East; South Cove Road in Knollwood would be South Cove Road West and South Cove Road off of College Street would be South Cove Road East.

The public hearing will take place on December 11, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room in Town Hall. At the public hearing interested persons may be heard. Written communications may be received at the public hearing or delivered to the Carl P.
