Town Clerk

The Town Clerk’s office prides itself in not only being one of the oldest municipal offices, but also one of the most visited. At one time or another, most residents find their way into our care. It is our mission to help you find the information you are looking for whether it’s here in our office or in another department.

The Town Clerk also serves as the Registrar of Vital Statistics and is responsible for all births, marriages & deaths that occur in our town. Part of that care involves preservation and conservation of both historic and modern records. It is also our goal to ensure the integrity of these records while continuing to adapt to changing technologies. All the work done in this office is to safeguard the Town’s archive for future generations of Old Saybrook residents.
